Astrology for Individuation

This course is specially made for those of you who have been reading my Moon posts for awhile over at In the River of What’s Happening Now, and want to study archetypal astrology with me formally.

Individuation is a term coined by depth psychologist Carl Jung to describe the lifelong psychological process by which our conscious and unconscious unite and integrate. It involves our ego or conscious self having repeated, cyclical encounters with our personal unconscious and the collective unconscious, often called “shadow work.” Over time, as we meet what’s in the shadow and bring it into the light of consciousness, our self-awareness grows, our understanding evolves, and we get to experience greater inner wholeness. Astrology can be an indispensable aid to those seeking to engage actively in the individuation process. To the initiated, it’s a system of living symbols and psychopomps or soul guides. It’s an archetypal language that, once you learn to speak it, gives you perspective on the forces shaping your life and the collective, and the timing of how it’s all unfolding.

This course is for those are ready for just such an initiation. After an introductory month of lessons reinforcing the foundations of this language in the Western wisdom school tradition—house systems, signs, planets, aspects—you will get to formally deepen your relationship with each of the 10 planetary archetypes. You will learn how to activate and tune in with them, understand them in your birth chart, and work with their energies and teachings. Starting with the Sun, the center of our physical and psychic solar system, we will spiral and expand our way through the 7 classical planets of Western astrology—Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn—that serve as personal individuation guides. Then we will engage the transpersonal planets—Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto—that can serve as guides to the collective. We will close with some grounding and integrating lessons back on Earth, our home.

Students will get:

• A monthly video lecture from me, with additional reading, writing, and ritual assignments to help you personally apply what you’re learning
• A 90-minute live & recorded online class on the third Sunday of the month at 4pm PT, where we will discuss the energies we are working with and consult directly with yours and others’ birth charts and placements. (Sundays scheduled: October 18th, November 22nd, December 20th, January 17th, February 21st, March 21st, April 18th, May 16th, June 20th, July 18th, August 15th, September 19th)
• A cohort-exclusive feed for asking questions, sharing synchronicities and insights, and discussing your own and other’s charts.
• Ongoing community and connection with like-minded/like-hearted people who are as inspired and motivated as you are to deepen their mastery of astrology, and know more about their own soul and path in this lifetime.
• Timely transformation! While I can’t know what it is you need, I know how to create good conditions for transformation. This course will be a proper psychoactive container. As you dive into the course content and meet the community, a transformation will begin to unfold, one designated by your own body/mind/soul and it’s timing. While it won’t be easy, it will definitely be worth it.

This course is offered at $120/month for 12 months. It will be limited to 24 people, and may end up being much smaller than that. Trust that there will be enough time and space for everyone to get one-on-one attention and support for learning and working with questions and realizations as they arise.

I would be so honored to have you in this container! If it feels like something that is exactly what you’ve been wanting and needing. Registration will open on the equinox and close on October 25th—the full moon in Taurus—or whenever the class is full.
